Are brushes or combs better for your hair ? Combs for combing hair are found during excavations of ancient Roman cities, in the tombs of Egyptian pharaohs and burials of ancient Scythians. For a long time they were made from the horns and bones of various animals, from tortoiseshell, walrus tusks, ivory, coral and wood, made from pig bristles and even cast from gold. Only wealthy people could afford to have combs. Only in the XIX century, with the invention of plastics, these products became publicly available.
Today you can find a huge variety of brushes and combs. Made of a variety of materials: plastic, carbon fiber, wood, metal. Their choice depends on the length and thickness of the hair, on the purpose of use.
Is a comb or brush better for hair
These simple items should be able to choose correctly, depending on what you are going to use them for. Take, for example, a brush. What is it for? First of all – for scalp massage. But it also removes dirt from the hair, increases blood circulation of the scalp, improving hair nutrition and stimulating their growth.
Combing should start from the back of the head to the forehead, then in all directions, trying to keep the head free,. without straining.
There are brushes of another kind – round with natural or plastic bristles. These are brushes – brushing. These are brushes for styling with a hairdryer. They come in different diameters: large ones – for adding volume, small ones – for modeling hairstyles.
On a large brush-brushing, you need to wind the ends of large strands and dry with a hairdryer, and on a small brush-brushing, you need to wind only thin strands, otherwise the styling may not work.
Combs are also different and for different purposes.
For example, to comb electrified hair, you need to take an ebony comb. A comb made of an alloy of plastic and beech wood shavings is also suitable. Such combs are good antistatic agents.
Combing your hair with such a comb should be done carefully – first comb the ends, and then completely the hair, from the crown to the tips.
And for combing damaged hair, a wooden comb with rare teeth is suitable. And you need to comb your hair with it in different directions – from the top to the back of the head and vice versa.
And a plastic or metal comb with a thin long handle and fairly frequent teeth is needed for combing. How to use it? Divide the hair into strands and comb from the bottom up – from the back of the head to the top – and so each strand.
